This site is dedicated to the memory of David Fassnidge.

My Dad was diagnosed with Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) approximately two years ago. Dad always lead an active life walking, dancing, gardening and shooting. Last year Dad's health seemed to disable him with his walking but he was not one for giving up. He overcame his disability and was detemined to walk regularly again. He started walking again with mum and went on shooting his trips until late October. Unfortunaely Dad's health suddenly exaberated which was not expected by his family, doctor and consultants. Dad finally gave up his fight on the 28th November 2009. Until 2 years ago we had not heard of Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and we are aware that there currently is no cure for this disease. But we do know that this disease needs supporting with funding for research. Dad was cremated on Monday 14th December 2009. We requested that if friends and relatives wanted to make donations in Dave's memory to the British Lung Foundation into research for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
